Chicone Cabinetmakers have created a piece of studio furniture that uses wine barrels as inspiration for its shape. The four legs of the Don Vino Wine Table ($3,500) are curved like the staves of a wine cask while the tabletop has individual slots for holding 16 bottles of wine under view through the glass top. While not temperature controlled like a cellar, the Don Vino can showcase the labels of both aging wines and the bottles of wines past.

These hand-made tables come in two sizes. The Coffee Table is 21″ tall with a 33-1/4″ diameter top and the Bistro Table is 36″ tall. Both tops are the same so as to hold the 16 bottles. Chicone Cabinetmakers use premium oak, maple, cherry, and walnut woods to construct the tables, with other exotic hardwoods available for custom orders.

As a way to showcase select wines during a social gathering or wine tasting, the Don Vino Wine Tables are both stylish & functional and make a great place to start a conversation. [via]
