Dell has a lot to be proud of in their award winning XPS (Xtreme Performance System) gaming and performance computers. Now they are taking their expertise into the convertible computer field with the release of the new Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 Laptop ($1000+).
Taking their ultra popular XPS 13 notebook (which we review here), they have created a machine that works well in tablet, tent, or laptop mode without a loss in functionality or practicality. Made of premium materials like machined aluminum, carbon fibre, and Corning Gorilla Glass, each machine features a display deck that flips back and lie nearly flat against the keyboard deck. All “InfinityEdge” display options are now touch-capable and arrive in either 1920×1080 or a QHD+ 3200×1800 high resolution. Specs include Intel’s latest-gen of Core i5 or i7 processor, up to 1TB of SSD and a top 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Optional hardware includes a biometric security feature, while the ports offered include a USB Type C, USB 3, microSD slot, Noble lock, & a headphone jack.
At only 2.7 pounds, and with a battery that lasts for 15 hours, this new convertible should be a convenient carry as you work through your computer needs throughout the day.
