If you ever need metalwork done around Fayetteville, Arkansas, be sure to look up the owner of the Manzeum. Helped by architectural firm Modus Studio, he fabricated almost all of the metalwork used to turn his old workshop into a fusion of work and fun (mostly fun).
Starting with hand-made sketches that were barely more than napkin doodles, they extended the existing shop & garage, to create a airy ( and super manly, as then name indicates ) entertainment area and guest house. The flow of the exterior, from the rusty metal sheeting over a steel frame, merges with the cedar planking along the top. Inside, steel runs right alongside more wood to create a unique blend of organic & mineral aesthetics. The intriguing Manzeum sits not far from the main house, on a 22 acre plot of land in the heart of America’s southern agricultural belt.
