The Golden Apple is a superb wooden replica and a tribute to the very first personal computer released by Apple 31 years ago, the Macintosh 128k.

Handcrafted by artist Love Hultén in his one-man studio in Gothenburg, Sweden, this unique piece retains the exact same look and dimensions of the original machine, but instead of plastic, it is made of American walnut. The Golden Apple features an up-to-date Mac Mini mounted inside (so it’s not just for decoration), along with a modern LCD screen, and a DVD reader as a substitute for the floppy drive. Completing the beautiful setup, there’s a custom-built mechanical keyboard with gold plated key caps made from zinc, and a wireless mouse made from walnut. Well done, Mr. Hultén!
