In order to meet consumer interest, appliance maker General Electric joined forces with Keurig to create a super fridge that can brew coffee right from its door. Say hello to the GE Cafe Refrigerator with Keurig K-Cup Brewing System ($3,300).

This machine combines the features of a modern refrigerator with the capabilities of a coffee maker, supplying not only hot and chilled water plus crushed or cubed ice on command, but also serving pod-style hot drinks from its in-door dispenser. The brewer works with 400 varieties of K-Cups, is dishwasher safe, and it can also be controlled via your smartphone to have it start heating up right when you wake up. GE has introduced an industry first with this new technology, and only time can tell if the Cafe Series Refrigerator (available Fall 2015) will be a hit or miss. But one thing is for sure: this premium appliance frees up counter space, and makes reaching for the milk way easier! via
