YETI has conquered another milestone in the outdoor niche following the launch of its most ambitious release of the year. No, it’s not another heavy-duty cooler, a bottle, or a backpack. But a new line of technical wear called YETI Performance Apparel.
YETI CEO Matthew Reintjes confirmed the technical apparel collection last month during the 2026 Investor Day. “We already see the consumer desire and significant upside of Yeti-branded apparel, hats, tees, hoodies, sun shirts,” Reintjes said. He added, “People want to wear this brand, and we aren’t fully addressing the demand…”
Hence, the launch of the YETI Performance Apparel collection built with “the same durability, the same field-tested standards, the same design rigor we bring to everything else,” according to Reintjes. Available in limited pieces, the collection comes in five designs.
First, the Tensleep Hooded Hybrid Down Jacket provides weather protection and comfortable insulation. Its stretch-woven face fabric uses RDS-certified ExpeDRY down, an ultralight, packable, and quick-drying down that provides active insulation, meaning it not only repels water but also actively speeds drying. It also uses Traceable European Lavalan Wool, which, like ExpeDRY, also helps manage internal moisture, such as sweat, to keep bad odors at bay and regulate warmth.
Second is the Tilloo Rain Jacket, which features a waterproof, breathable membrane that keeps rain out while allowing excess moisture and heat to escape. It boasts a 40,000mm waterproofness, 45000g/m2/24hr breathability, and a RET rating of 4.67. Third in the YETI Performance Apparel line is the quick-drying Sansaba Fleece Full-Zip, made with PrimaLoft Bio fleece for lightweight warmth that allows excess heat and moisture to escape. Lastly, the Heugo and Caprock are moisture-wicking, stretchy, breathable Merino mid-layers.
