A while back, Hublot presented two models lined with gemstones in the shades of a rainbow. These timepieces appeal to folks who love to show off their flamboyant side. It seems the same muse paid Ulysse Nardin a visit because the watchmaker just unveiled the Blast Tourbillon Rainbow and Lady Diver Rainbow.
When the usual tonal materials begin to feel bland, Ulysse Nardin’s Rainbow Collection has the splash of color you need. There’s something for the gents and the ladies. These are for individuals who want a vibrant wrist candy to accompany them when the mood or occasion calls for it.
This timekeeping accessories debut just in time for Geneva Watch Days 2022. Also, these are “both inspired by the iridescent rainbow colors of silicium.” The chromatic property of the metalloid is not only a cosmetic influence for the Blast Tourbillon Rainbow and Lady Diver Rainbow.
Ulysse Nardin also uses the silicium in the UN-172 and UN-816 movements of the Rainbow Collection. The Blast Tourbillon Rainbow flaunts a 45 mm black DLC titanium case. The bezel is adorned with 50 sapphire and ruby baguette gemstones.
Meanwhile, the Lady Diver Rainbow uses stainless steel for its 39 mm case. Its concave bezel, on the other hand, is embellished with 40 gemstones. Buyers can also choose a black DLC variant for a stealthier motif. Ulysse Nardin also uses gemstones for the hour markers for a sparkling statement.
The Rainbow Collection watches all ship with alligator leather straps, but you can also switch it out for the included velvet rubber strap. The Blast Tourbillon Rainbow will see only 50 examples, while the Lady Diver Rainbow get 300 examples for each version.
