Lifestyle brand Shinola makes “Made in the USA” a part of their business. Already an established mark in producing fine watches, they have introduced their newest design in the Guardian Collection ($675+). Named for one of Detroit’s famous skyscrapers, the Guardian watch portray the clean lines of a city skyline. The rounded square frame and easy to read numbers lends itself to formal situations as easily as casual attire.
At the heart of the Guardian is the Argonite Quartz movement, carefully assembled in their Detroit factory from Swiss and other imported components. The stainless steel case comes in two sizes, either 36mm or the 41.5 and also offers the option of a leather strap or a matching stainless steel bracelet. It is pressure tested to assure a lifetime’s service. While the Guardian watch may not tell you the time on the moon, it will set a refined tone to your style here on Earth.
