Relwen’s Quilted Flannel Shirt Jacket now comes in Duck Camo, a welcome change if your fall rotation is already heavy on plaid. We’d keep the rest simple: a plain tee, dark jeans and boots. The pattern does enough on its own.
The more interesting work is in the construction. Relwen uses a 100 percent brushed cotton flannel twill shell, a polyester ripstop lining and 80g recycled-polyester insulation. The layers are quilted together, then cut and sewn as one assembly. Relwen says this keeps the insulated construction compact enough for the piece to work as either a shirt or a jacket. Bound interior seams finish things off.
There are five pockets, including two at the chest with snap closures. The pair tucked into the side seams are handwarmer pockets, and a large zippered pocket sits inside. That last one is a useful detail for a layer you might wear open: small essentials can stay zipped away.
Huckberry describes the fit as classic and true to size, recommending your usual jacket size or the larger option if you’re between sizes. Care is straightforward, too: machine wash cold, then air dry or tumble dry low.
The Duck Camo version costs $258 at Huckberry. At that price, we’d want it to earn regular outerwear duty. The insulation and proper hand pockets give it a credible case for the job.
