A sale fleece and a rain jacket do different jobs. That makes Columbia’s current markdowns useful for filling a gap in your fall wardrobe rather than replacing everything at once.
Columbia’s US sale offers up to 50% off select styles, but the percentage changes by item and color. Three men’s layers show how the savings work.
The Steens Mountain 2.0 Full Zip Fleece Jacket lists selected options at $32.50 instead of $65. Not every color gets that price: Greenscape was $45.50 when checked. It is a regular-fit polyester fleece with zippered hand pockets and an adjustable hem, suited to cool mornings or wearing beneath a shell. Choose your color and size before judging the saving.

For rain, the Watertight II Rain Jacket is $70 instead of $100 in Delta. Its Omni-Tech construction is waterproof and breathable, with sealed seams, an adjustable storm hood and a mesh lining. It packs into its own hand pocket, making it the layer to keep in a bag rather than wear for warmth all day.

The Powder Lite II Hooded Jacket is the insulated option: $115.50 instead of $165 in Red Oxide/Shark. It combines recycled-polyester insulation with an Omni-Heat reflective lining and an adjustable hood. The fabric repels light rain, but this is not the waterproof shell in the trio.

These are displayed markdowns, not an extra 50% taken off at checkout. Other colors may cost more, and prices and available sizes can change. Check the selected item’s final price before paying.
