After working with a multi-display setup, productivity is just not the same on a laptop or single monitor workstation. Previously, there were clever approaches to address the lack of screen real estate like the Razer Project Valerie prototype. A cool alternative would be ultra-wide displays, but we’re talking about portability here. Those of us who frequently travel for work would love to have an extra screen handy. It seems like we don’t have to wait much longer because Odake BladeX is about to make out dreams comes true.

We are aware that there are existing portable monitors out there right now. However, most of these are sub-par when it comes to performance and quality. By far, the Odake BladeX is the slimmest portable display at just 4.5 mm and just weighs below two pounds. Depending on what the task requires, you can choose from a 1080P or 4K version. The device features a built-in 3,000 mAh battery, which is enough for three hours of use. To make it even more useful, you’re actually looking at a 15.6-inch touchscreen that you can bring along with ease.

You can connect your computer via the two USB Type-C ports or the HDMI port. Our only qualm about its configuration is the location of the stereo speakers, which are a rear-firing setup. However, a quick fix is to use headphones, which you can connect through the built-in 3.5 mm headphone jack. Console gamers will also love using it for gaming on the go. Meanwhile, an awesome feature of the Odake BladeX is the folding stand, which lets you use it in landscape, portrait, or studio mode.
