Every outdoor adventure you take is a unique experience. Even if it’s the same trail, nature is dynamic, and changes can happen at a moment’s notice. Hence, proper preparation should never take a backseat and needs to be your top priority. When trekking the old-fashioned way, Nike is offering the new ACG Zegama Hike.

Right away, the American sports apparel group is billing it as “a rock-solid, lightweight hiking boot built from a high-speed trail runner.” At first glance, it’s easy to mistake these as regular sneakers given the sporty profile. However, make no mistake, because every aspect of the design is purpose-built to support and protect your feet.

There are two colorways available for the ACG Zegama Hike: Life Lime/Barely Volt/Smoke Grey/Dark Smoke Grey (Style: IO7854-701) and British Khaki/Linen/Light Crimson/British Khaki (Style: IO7854-200). If you prefer brighter hues, the former delivers just that, but earthy tones of the latter mean dirt, dust, mud, and others do not stand out as much.

Since it’s under the Swoosh’s All Conditions Gear catalog, the construction uses special textiles and materials crafted for superior ergonomics and outstanding performance. The Zegama Hike upper is a lightweight mesh with distinct overlays. Durable toe and heel guards and a stretchy collar keep debris out and minimize injury when your feet accidentally hit hard objects.

Underfoot cushioning comes from the ZoomX foam, while the thicker layer below provides stability. Likewise, the Traction Lug technology of its Vibram MegaGrip outsole remains functional over various surfaces and in any weather. “Turn punishing climbs into panoramic bliss. The Zegama Hike is the trusted trail guru to get you there,” writes Nike.
