The only thing better than owning one supercar has to be owning two! That was the thought when a client commissioned McLaren Special Operations (MSO) to create a matched set for him. The dynamic duo consists of an R Coupé and the R Spider.
Both vehicles were designed to look very much alike although the Liquid Silver finish of the coupe is in satin with the Spider’s being glossy. There is a great deal of carbon fiber in the bodies including the central stripes, twin-element rear wing, bumper, hood, fenders, and roof scoop. Inside, the Alcantara trim is black with red stitching and the seats are red Alcantara with black stitches. They have a central infotainment center and an instrument cluster display.
Both the Coupe & the Spider have a 33.8-liter twin turbo M838TL V8 engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This MSO R Coupé and the MSO R Spider combination is sure to make it tough to decide which one to drive first.
