The MakerPi Tiruler 2.0 is a multifunctional titanium/brass folding ruler that does more than measure curves, angles, straight lines, or draw shapes. Its unique design secretly hides utility tools for those everyday small fixes, DIY projects, and more. It has two 3.94″ long arms that neatly integrate an everlasting pencil and a small blade.

The pencil has a removable top that stores a small pin usable for punching holes, ejecting a SIM card, or used as a toothpick. Moreover, this pin works with the compass. It slots into the row of small holes next to the numbers on an arm. It helps draw circles of different sizes. Select the diameter, then put the pencil into the corresponding hole, place the pin at the center, and rotate the ruler around it. This process helps make the rotations smooth and seamless.

Meanwhile, the blade on the Tiruler 2.0 has its own magnetic slot and extra retention mechanism to prevent it from falling out. This tiny blade is sharp enough to cut paper or leather, and do other small cutting or slicing tasks. A new feature is a pocket caliper defined by two pins that slide out of the ruler arm.

You put the pins between two surfaces to measure the gap between them, from 0.1″ to 2.1″ (3 to 55mm). The ruler offers both metric and imperial measurements, with markings chemically etched and filled with black ink so they don’t easily fade. Meanwhile, the angle-measuring feature has quick angle stops at 45, 90, and 180 degrees. The same mechanism also doubles as a rolling wheel for measuring curves and irregular surfaces, with one full rotation equaling 3.94″ (100 mm). It clicks each time it passes zero for easy tracking.
