LEGO is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Star Trek franchise with a replica of two of the most recognizable locations from the original “Star Trek” series. The LEGO Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge mirrors the U.S.S. Enterprise bridge and transporter room in 1,701 pieces, referencing the ship’s registry number NCC-1701.
This new model offers interactive play with features that recreate familiar on-screen moments. You can rock the captain’s chair to simulate battle sequences and ship turbulence. You can also push a lever to open the turbo lift doors and turn a dial to activate the transporter, and move crew members between pads.
Moreover, the LEGO Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge includes eight new Starfleet crew minifigures and four tribbles – the fluffy alien characters. Of course, it includes the original bridge crew: Kirk, Sulu, Spock, Christine Chapel, Uhura, McCoy, Scotty, and Chekov.
Meanwhile, accessories include two Starfleet communicators, four phasers, Spock’s harp, two Vulcan Lirpas, and a Trident Scanner. The Starfleet communicators come in a decorated 1×2 tile, while the phaser is an all-new LEGO element. The model centers on the ship’s iconic bridge and transporter room, featuring computer stations, a viewscreen showing a Klingon warrior, and a transporter platform for crew deployment.
Once fully assembled, the modular sections can be arranged into a display configuration. The LEGO Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge is a serious diorama piece, measuring 22.44″ wide and 13.39″ deep. Builders can view a 3D model of the piece, zoom and rotate it during construction, and track its progress step by step using the LEGO Builder app. The set is ready for purchase on Sept. 1, which coincides with the franchise’s 60th anniversary.
