These days people prefer an intuitive or user-friendly interface on their tech devices to enhance productivity. The same applies to multi-tools: the simpler but efficient the design the better. After all, you don’t want to waste time pondering on its schematics. The Hakoake portable scissor is just that, simple yet effective in its design.
This is a two-way tool that has a scissor and a cutter integrated into its ergonomic frame. It offers stepless switching between cutter and scissor, without the pesky adjustments or attachments needed. It conveniently and seamlessly combines both tools in a safe and fuss-free user interface.
The Hakoake portable scissors has markings on the side for visual cues on functionality. From its locked position, a simple and quick slide toward the “cutter” label brings out a short, 3mm titanium blade that effortlessly opens packages, gliding through packing tape without damaging its contents.
Then switching to scissors mode brings out the cutter further and brings out a secondary blade that’s seamlessly aligned underneath it. The scissors are for light use only, ideal for snipping through tags or straps. Then simply slide back into lock mode for safety to prevent accidental blade deployment.
The Hakoake portable scissors is a stationery item. Hence, it’s not advisable to use on thick items. They cannot cut or slice through hard objects or thick paper such as milk cartons or cardboard paper. While this tool can sit quietly on your desk, ready for action, it can also go anywhere with you. It has a strap hole for portability and makes a great EDC as it is lightweight and only measures 4.4″ long.
