62 years after the last example rolled off the assembly line, Jaguar Classic is re-starting production of the iconic D-Type in a limited run of only 25 examples, each hand-built to the original specifications.
One of the most beautiful competition cars of all time, the legendary D-Type was powered by a six-cylinder ‘XK’ engine and it went on to win the grueling 24-hour race ‘Le Mans’ three times (1955 to 1957). The Continuation series will be available in a shortnose variation or the longnose bodywork model shown here, featuring an extended bonnet, the unique tail fin, wide-angle cylinder head, and quick-change brake calipers.
