Honda makes bikes of all shapes and sizes, some hits and some misses. Among enthusiasts the CX500 is considered a definite miss, at least in terms of design as this is thought of as one of Honda´s ugliest rides. So, you can understand our trepidation when laying eyes on this CX500 custom job, admittedly we were not expecting much. Luckily our foolish misconceptions were shattered by what is a marvelous piece of work by Thomas Parrish of Kustom Research.
Customizing an already beautiful horse is easy, but nailing it with an ugly old thing is a little tougher. Parrish modified just about everything on the bike, including minor details like the headlight mount, and the result is something that looks surprisingly modern and now fit to be used with pride.
