For this year’s Battle of the Kings (one of the largest bike events, where Harley-Davidson dealerships from all over the world compete against each other in building the best custom), Swiss-based shop Lugano presented a fresh, agile-looking enduro racer/street tracker, dubbed the ‘Flat Rod’.

Aiming to create a European version of the Harley XGR750, currently involved in the American Flat Track championship, the guys at Lugano fitted the bike with both off-the-shelf & fabricated bits (by rules of the competition, builders can spend a max €6000 on parts). A small peanut tank was added, along with a flattened enduro-style seat, a brawny suspension front & rear, and twin headlights built into the new number plate, while the stock gauge has been moved down and to the right of the tank to keep the dash free.

The liquid-cooled 750 V-Twin now breathes (and for sure it sounds more aggressive) through Red Thunder exhaust pipes, and the bike is finished in satin black with copper paint details for a look worthy of a king.
