Gold cars are almost always too tacky for our taste, but every now and then we see a model that we can actually picture ourselves driving. This Mansory Rolls-Royce Wraith Palm Edition 999 is one of those limited edition luxury cars that has managed to reach that tricky-to-find middle ground between gaudy and understated.
All gilded parts are finished in 999 pure gold, and there is the option of extending the Midas treatment to every single metallic element, such as the radiator grille, sill guards, door handles, wheels and so on. The upgrade is not limited to adding golden bits here and there, however. There’s also a gorgeous body kit involved, as well as a fully revised interior.
To top it all off, Mansory did a little tweaking under the hood as well. The original 6.6-liter V12 unit can put out 740 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque, which is quite impressive when compared to the initial 632 PS and 800 Nm of torque. On the road, that means a maximum speed of 187 mph, as well as a 0-62 mph time of only 4.4 seconds.
