Not new, but beautifully renewed, the Ilona luxury yacht by Heesen Yachts is a gem. It was first launched in 2005, but eight years later it received a full makeover and then was launched again in London. The original dark hull was painted white for a more sophisticated and elegant feel, which pretty much sums up the entire upgrade.
Both the exterior and the interior were redesigned in collaboration with Omega Architects, who focused on turning Ilona into an extra alluring yacht. More modern, luxurious and inviting, it can hold up to 12 guests at a time in one full-beam master suite and five guest cabins. The master suite flaunts a generous walk-in wardrobe, an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and his and hers facilities, a cozy sitting area, a flat screen TV, and a huge comfortable bed.
All interiors – both the private and the public areas – feature lux finishes, beautiful furnishing and warm inviting colors. The dark bamboo floors contrast nicely with the cream upholstery, while the cherry wood paneling and cabinets add a plus of flair to the space. For the sundeck, the yacht received a new Jacuzzi and comfortable sun pads.
There is also a new top-of-the-line entertainment system onboard, with Kaleidescape sharing technology which can be controlled from the master cabin, aft deck and main salon. Our favorite part, however, is the awesome outdoor gym, equipped with pull up bars, weights and a treadmill.
