The North Face (TNF) upgrades its classic Snowsquall Jacket with modern materials in a heritage-inspired silhouette as part of its Winter ’26 Snow Collection. The brand says it turned to an unlikely source for the jacket’s retro look: vintage flight jackets.
It features a relaxed fit and a slightly cropped cut for freedom in mobility on and off the slopes. It also features a clean, structured silhouette with clever color blocking that looks stylish and warm both in and out of the snow. But its performance never disappoints during alpine adventures.
The North Face revamped the Snowsquall Jacket with Dryvent 2L stretch fabric, its proprietary windproof, waterproof, and breathable fabric. Meanwhile, the main body combines 64 percent recycled polyester and 36 percent recycled nylon with 100% recycled polyester lining.
Additionally, sealed seams and a fluorine-free DWR finish keep moisture at bay for a dry, comfortable experience. The #5 YKK AquaGuard front zipper also keeps water at bay and locks in warmth. Meanwhile, for insulation, this jacket features The North Face’s Heatseeker fill, a durable synthetic insulation made with hollow-core fibers.
It keeps everything toasty without the sticky feel. TNF also included zipped pockets as hand warmers and an adjustable, stowable, helmet-compatible hood for added protection. When it gets a little too warm for comfort, the zipped underarm vents release excess heat.
The Snowsquall Jacket also features iridescent ripstop in high-stress areas, such as the elbows, shoulders, and arms, for extra reinforcement and durability. Meanwhile, stretch fabric through the center body and back ensures unrestricted movement so users can glide with ease and focus on the path ahead.
