Kizer’s Drop Bear pocket knife has come in several variants since its 2022 release, from utility knives and fixed blades to a minimalist edition. But its latest version, the Drop Bear 292 AirTi, may be its most coveted yet for EDC knife enthusiasts.
Thanks to its new material, this folder is the slimmest and lightest silhouette it’s ever been. As its name suggests, the Ti stands for titanium, which gives the knife its durability and lightweight strength. Designed to disappear in your pocket, it’s featherweight and sleek, weighing just 2.02 oz (57.4g) and boasting an ultra-slim 0.31″ handle profile.
Moreover, the Drop Bear 292 AirTi packs an M390 drop point blade that’s only 2.92″ long and 0.08″ (2.0mm) thick. The knife rests flat in the pocket thanks to its compact and minimalist footprint. It’s a barely-there everyday carry knife that stays out of mind until you need it.
Speaking of the blade, it’s heat-treated at an authorized Böhler facility. It features a classic satin finish and a flat grind for clean, precise slicing performance. The blade stays securely in place via the signature Kizer Button Liner Lock mechanism and deploys smoothly with one hand via thumb studs.
Moreover, precision CNC Ti-6Al-4V titanium liners replace steel. It is also skeletonized to reduce weight without compromising structural strength. The Drop Bear 292 AirTi retains the hard-anodized aluminum handle with 3D CNC precision milling across contoured handle surfaces.
The multi-dimensional CNC textures enhance tactile traction and precise control during cutting. The Drop Bear 292 AirTi measures an overall compact size of 6.9″ long, with the handle at 3.98″ and the blade at 2.92″ long. It comes with a lanyard hole and a deep-carry pocket clip for added portability. It’s available in different handle patterns and colors.
