Putting ice packs in the cooler means sacrificing space that ideally would be reserved for food and drinks. Ice packs also need hours of pre-freezing and tend to warm up easily and melt fast. But not the ultra-slim Frost Titan Core Plate. It takes just an hour in the freezer for hours of cooling power.
This all-titanium cooling plate is merely 10mm thick, weighs just 270g (0.27kg), and measures 6.5″ x 4.1″. It doesn’t add bulk or heft, making it ideal for camping adventures, beach getaways, or picnics. The team behind the product says the plate is lighter than a similar-sized steel plate or ice pack.
Yet, the Frost Titan Core Plate holds its low temperature for many more hours. It also doesn’t need hours of pre-freezing. In just 60 minutes in the freezer, it cools to -10°C to -20°C (14°F to -4°F) and stays significantly colder for longer, from midday to evening. It stays chilled for approximately 12 hours at below 0°C (32°F), keeping drinks and food cold well into the night.
Moreover, it is easy to keep clean thanks to its titanium (99.99%) shell. A wash-down with soap and water is all it takes. Titanium is also hygienic and highly resistant to cracking, corrosion, and bad odors and tastes. It offers lightweight strength, making this cooling plate durable even for outdoor use. The Frost Titan Core Plate also has glycerol, water, and a latent heat storage material in its core. These materials serve as a phase-change coolant that should perform better than traditional ice packs.
