After keeping its clients in suspense for some time, Bentley is finally introducing its first-ever all-electric platform. The Torcal S is a flagship trim of the illustrious British marque’s fourth model line and will likely pave the way for its emission-free future. This luxurious, eco-friendly SUV touts a combination of aesthetic elements from previous concept outings and existing iconic units.
The press release names the Continental T and EXP 15 as a few of the inspirations. Specifically, its illuminated diamond grille on the former and the clean profile of its rear from the latter. Discerning clients will be happy to know that the manufacturer sources all components across the United Kingdom.
Furthermore, the engineering, design, and assembly are proudly in-house at the company’s facilities in Crewe. Overall, you’re investing in a machine that showcases British automotive excellence. Each Torcal S is packing a green powertrain, capable of cranking out 876 bhp and 996 lb-ft of torque. This eSUV can zip from zero to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds.
Step on the pedal to reach a top speed of 162 mph. “Its thrilling performance is reflected in its dark, muscular exterior styling, with everything from the Bentley badges to the sleek body kit finished in black,” reads the marketing page.
