The North Face dropped its iconic red box logo in 1998 and released a collection inspired by 90s silhouettes, dubbed TNF Red Box, in 2025. The collection features oversized proportions, a casual style, and modern takes on archival pieces. TNF calls it a “Symbol of freedom and experimentation reborn for our time.” The Red Box Liner Jacket joins the collection as a versatile, functional, stylish layer.
The design features a refined construction with classic detailing in a modern, oversized fit. It offers comfort and wind resistance with a fully reversible design. One side features a high-shine finish made with recycled nylon.
Meanwhile, the reverse side features a wind-resistant, clean matte finish. Built to handle windy conditions, the wind-resistant WINDFALL fabric is engineered to block wind penetration. It also greatly reduces wind chill effects. The Red Box Liner Jacket also includes elastic binding at the hem and shoulder seams to help seal out cold drafts and hold warmth in.
Moreover, the reverse side has drop-in hand pockets with antiqued-silver snaps and a woven red box logo patch on the left sleeve. The North Face also paired the ’90s oversized fit with refined features, including a reversible, antiqued-silver Vislon center front zip closure.
The Red Box Liner Jacket also features adjustable grosgrain webbing at the cuffs with antiqued-silver snaps and elastc binding on the shoulder seams, pocket openings, and hem for enhanced mobility. It is available in two colorways: Obsidian and Smokey Brown/Dark Chestnut. This protective layer is for the traveler or the outdoor adventurer who wants both function and style for everyday wear.
