Keep the refrigerator running during power outages with the Jackery FridgeGuard, dubbed the “world’s slimmest smart fridge backup.” It offers a simple plug-and-play design with a sleek footprint of just 2.6″ thick. It easily stands behind or beside the fridge, or lies flat on top, and is light enough to move about at about 10.43kg.
It delivers ≤10 ms UPS-level backup automatically as soon as outages happen. Jackery calls this its FridgeSafe Technology, which activates backup power even before the fridge disconnects from the local grid. It runs on a long-lasting LiFePO battery, which offers a reliable 16-year lifespan with daily usage. The battery has a 1,024Wh capacity and delivers up to 1,600 watts of compressor-ready power.
FridgeGuard also comes with a Delay Start feature that protects the compressor and surge protection. Jackery estimates the battery to run for around 15 hours on a full charge or up to 30 hours when paired with an optional expansion battery. The expansion brings the total output capacity to 2,048Wh.
Aside from the refrigerator, this backup power also works with other small home appliances, such as the toaster and coffee maker, and beyond the kitchen, with laptops, phones, WiFi routers, TVs, fans, air purifiers, and more. It even doubles as an electric cooler for outdoor use, offering 22 hours of cool air. It can both charge and discharge at temperatures as low as -20°C.
Moreover, FridgeGuard offers smart control via its companion app, where it also provides real-time power monitoring. The app also offers energy optimization: delay output when needed and set the power output schedule. It’s rechargeable via AC, solar, or car power.
