Spooky season is upon us yet again, and we want to cover the cool stuff that is soon to hit the market. From a gaming standpoint, there are several titles that fit this month’s horror theme. Moreover, another major release that you could also consider as on-brand is due to launch early next week. Get ready for Gears of War: E-Day with the help of 8BitDo.
This franchise has a cult-like following, and fans are undoubtedly hyped for the latest installment. Unfortunately, unlike Gears of War: Reloaded, which came out last year for all platforms except Nintendo’s Switch, the upcoming prequel is exclusively for the Xbox Series X/S and PC. If you’re playing on the latter, the limited edition Retro 87 Keyboard and Retro R8 Mouse are must-haves.
True to the gritty and visceral action gamers expect from Gears of War: E-Day, the design is menacing. Black and red are the dominant color scheme, with co-branding elements on both accessories. The mechanical keyboard supports Bluetooth 5.3, 2.4 GHz, and USB-C wired connectivity options. The same applies for the mouse as well.
Don’t forget to download the Ultimate Software V2 to fully customize key mappings, macros, and more. A combination of opaque and translucent materials looks awesome, especially when the RGB lighting is activated. Your keyboard includes Dual Super Buttons, while the mouse ships with a matching charging dock.
Finally, both Gears of War: E-Day SKUs use 8BitDo’s iconic USB 2.4 GHz wireless adapter for responsive controls with the cord-free convenience. “Fractured earth. Crimson energy. COG insignia. Every detail draws from the devastation of E-Day, bringing its battlefield atmosphere to the keyboard and mouse. Beneath the design, every feature is made to support a more responsive, immersive gaming experience.”
