Carrying forth their Midas legacy, the luxury customization experts over at Goldgenie have turned yet another 21st century gadget into an object of opulence. This time it’s the increasingly more popular Segwheel, also known as the self-balancing electric uniwheel that transforms traditional walks into cool, techy strolls.
Ideal for the eco-conscious commuter with a soft spot for luxury, the 24kt gold plated Segwheel has a 7.5-mile range that it can cover at speeds of up to 11 mph. Because it is highly compact and very lightweight, it can very easily be taken into your work office, where a 45-minute full charge will have it ready for a new trip back home.
While the inner mechanism are the same as in any other Segwheel (the rider’s weight shifts controlling acceleration, deceleration and direction), the exterior is far from ordinary. With 5-micron gold plating and python skin detailing, this machine is in a league of its own, but Goldgenie goes as far as to offer further customization for anyone interested in gem adornments or personalized engravings. All for a starting price of $44,123.
