Ares Design are the young legs of the team putting in the work and reaping the rewards. The company have not been around for too long and are the result of Dany Bahar, the previous CEO of Lotus. Despite their youth, Ares Design are proving their skills as aftermarket designers more and more with every project they churn out.
Their latest project was one of the, if not the, most jaw-dropping works to date. They took on one of the United States’ most iconic vintage vehicles, the 1964 Corvette Stingray. This black beauty of the roads showcases the talents lurking in the offices of Ares Design and their commitment to detail.
Achieving such lofty results does not come easy or cheap (put your wallet away). It took 3.5k hours of labour to get this phenomenal vehicle in its finished state. What have they done then? Well they beefed up the car’s chassis with new suspension, axles, and added an electric handbrake. This is on top of installing a new wiring loom. Anything under the hood was only replaced to ensure improved performance. This includes a 6.2 litre V8 LS3 engine. Plenty of minor alterations made on the interior and exterior by Ares Design appear to be sound decision. The classic curves of this vintage design will have us getting excited and reminiscing about the past.
