When it comes to custom supercar design for a select ultra-rich clientele, the coachbuilding company Ares Design is rising to the fore. You will soon know them for their rework of one of the all-time classics, the De Tomaso Pantera. Unlike most supercars, it was so successful that over 7000 units were produced over 20 years.
However, Project Panther will be far more exclusive and unique, focusing on a limited number of customers with deep pockets. Based on the 2017 Lamborghini Huracan chassis, the car is nearing its completion at the freshly opened production and design facility in Modena, Italy. No specifications are yet available, but given the trend in the coachbuilding industry, you can expect a 5.2L, V10 engine at a minimum.
If you are nostalgic for the golden age of Italian supercars and have more money than you know what to do with, then the Project Panther is something to be excited about.
