Huawei has decided it is time for a smartphone to have Artificial Intelligence (AI) at its core. The ready-to-be-released Huawei Mate 10 & Mate 10 Pro are both powered by Kirin 970 with a dedicated neural processing unit.

They both have reduced, almost nonexistent, bezels with the Mate 10 featuring a 5.9″ Quad HD LCD display and the Pro boasting a 6″ Full HD+ AMOLED screen. While the Mate 10 has its fingerprint sensor on the bottom front, the Pro has a rear sensor.

The AI’s NPU can recognize objects the camera is pointed at and adjust the settings accordingly. The main sensor is a 12-megapixel RGB with OIS with a 20 Mpx monochrome secondary camera, both of which sport an f/1.6 aperture. There are a number of options for onboard RAM and storage and they both house a 4,000 mAh battery providing about 25 hours of call time or 22 hours of video playback.
