Among all the spectacular and intriguing concept vehicles that have been shown off at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, one stand-out bright spot is the ‘Lava Red’ Kia Proceed Wagon Concept car. Being touted as a possible preview of future iterations of their popular Kia Cee’d and Pro_cee’d vehicles, this ‘elongated hot hatch’ is unlike anything that Kia has ever done before.
Sporting four doors and a hatchback, the Proceed Wagon Concept’s new curved and sloping body glides along with recessed handles, no side mirrors, and a black lower-body side skirt that creates a pinched-waist sporty look. It sits on 20″ aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in Kumho performance tires as a hint that this wagon is not just for hauling groceries and the kids. The side-window trim isn’t chrome but an illuminating strip for ease of access at night. Around back are full-width tail lights and a discrete diffuser bringing up the rear.
