Motorola felt their success with last year’s Verizon-only Moto Z Force, they have expanded this shatterproof screen phone with the Moto Z2 Force Edition ($720) for use with every major US carrier. This screen uses AMOLED technology to create sharper color and greater detail on their display than regular LED. The major trade-off for the crack-resistant ShatterShield screen is that it is a bit easier to scuff up and scratch.
Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip with 4 GB of RAM. The Z2 comes standard with 64 GB of storage with a microSD card option for 512 GB more. It has dual 12 MP cameras up front for deeper colors or true Black & White mode. The selfie camera is 5 MP.
The phone comes with a 2,730-mAh battery that, while smaller than previous editions, provides quick-charge capability. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and has Bluetooth 4.2. It is also compatible with previous MotoMod accessories to extend the range of uses you can have at your disposal.
