Rolls-Royce has always stood for exclusive luxury in each hand-crafted vehicle they produce and what could be more exclusive than to be the owner of a one-of-a-kind, custom designed, personalized Rolls-Royce masterpiece? The Sweptail ($12.8 Million) is just such a vehicle.
First conceived in 2013 by an unnamed client, Rolls-Royce was commissioned to make a vehicle that hearkened back to the ‘golden era’ of the early Twentieth Century models.
There is a hint of the 1925 Phantom I Round Door and a seasoning of 1934 Park Ward 20/25 Limousine Coupé in the lines of the Sweptail. The full glass roof pulling back to the ‘swept tail’ rear end and the ample amounts of polished Macassar Ebony and open-pore Paldao wood trim speak of unrestrained flight.
The two-seater coupe has a drawer for the owner’s laptop, a champagne cooler in the console, and even a shelf for his hat. The Sweptail is also being touted as the most expensive automobile to have ever been sold new!
