Swiss Luxury watchmaker Hublot is celebrating the 120th Anniversary of the founding of France’s luxury menswear designer Berluti with a limited edition chronograph that has a unique way to pay homage to the famous Berluti Venezia leather. The Hublot X Berluti Classic Fusion Chronograph ($18,400) features a strap and dial made of luxurious, specially-tanned matching leather.
The process required not only the removal of 100% of the moisture from the leather used on the face of the dial but also the flexibility to fit around the two secondary counters at 3 and 9 o’clock. There are two iterations of this watch. 250 are encased in Satin-finished 18K King Gold with a brown leather dial and 250 have a black ceramic case with a black leather dial. Inside the chronograph runs a HUB1143 self-winding movement that provides a 42-hour power reserve.
