If you like fast SUV’s, you are going to love the new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk ($TBA). Inside a rather discrete looking body, the new 2018 Trackhawk houses a Dodge Hellcat 707 horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine. Right off the lot this new Jeep will punch it from 0 to 60 in a flat 3.5 seconds and do the quarter mile in 11.6 seconds as it climbing to 116 mph. The top speed of 180 mph takes a few seconds longer to obtain.
The brakes are also supersized: 15.75″ Brembo vented brakes that feature six-piston calipers on the front end (which make them the largest ever put on a Jeep.) The stopping power lets you go from 60 mph to a full stop in just 114 feet. Besides crazy speed, the Trackhawk’s more practical feature is the ability to tow a massive a 7,200 lbs.
Furthermore, the new Jeep has a fortified 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. What it doesn’t have are the usual Jeep fog lights as it needs all the room up front it can get for airflow to its powerful engine.
