David Brown Automotive’s newest project, the Mini Remastered ($60K), is an exercise in showing how to improve on the already iconic Mini Cooper in power, structure, and technology. While striving to maintain the look of the original, the Mini Remastered has been given new body panels and extra structural beams for greater rigidity.

The engine has also had a major upgrading with new parts and fine-tuning to produce an extra 30% power over the original specifications. A 5-speed manual transmission has been inserted to help with utilizing the extra oomph.
The interior has been given full sound-proofing and features heating, ventilation, and air conditioning as standard. An infotainment center springs from the 7″ touchscreen while glove-box access to USB ports keeps charging and connectivity for your mobile devices within easy reach. The British-sourced full-grain leather upholstery completes the comfort experience. The David Brown Mini Remastered will comprise a total of 50 units, 25 of them inspired by the cafe racer culture, and the other 25 by the racing machines of the past.
