Mountain View, California-based Olamic Cutlery has just redesigned their first folding knife, into an even more comfortable and convenient everyday carry knife. Their new Wayfarer Compact WC261 Flipper ($695) maintains all the great features of the original but adds a few pleasant surprises along the way.
The knife has a 3.5″ CTS-XHP stainless steel blade that has been hand-ground and given a two-tone acid wash finish. It sits in a caged bearing system for extremely quick opening via the flipper, although there’s also a thumb slot added for a more traditional opening. The handles have been constructed of carbon fiber and have bolsters of red C-Tek (a sleek-looking, resin infused aluminum honeycomb material) along with a titanium pocket clip. Titanium liners and a carbon fiber backspacer add even more strength to the whole package.
This beautiful one-off custom knife weighs just under 4 oz and comes in an Olamic nylon carry pouch along with its Certificate of Authenticity. Proudly made in the USA!
