Few collaborations between watchmakers and automobile makers have quite the sense of appropriateness as the one just made between British watch brand Christopher Ward and British automobile brand Morgan Motor Company. They both share a similar philosophy and business model and that makes the new C1 Morgan Chronometer Watch Collection ($2,600+) such a treat.
Each of the three watches has a 40.5mm C1 Grand Malvern case and is powered by versions of the Christopher Ward Calibre SH21 in-house movement. They are hand-wound for a 120 hour power reserve and are water resistant down to 100 feet. While all of the C1 Morgan watches have their movement on display via a sapphire crystal display case back, each version features a different bridge design and finish.
The Christopher Ward C1 Morgan Watch Collection is only being sold to owners (past or present) of Morgan automobiles. As a unique touch of personalization, the owner’s Morgan car chassis number will be engraved on the back plate.
