Belgium-based Ressence is famous for being the only ones producing unique, oil-filled mechanical timepieces. And they’re quite good at it too, just look at their Type 3 Watch we’ve written about before. A new iteration is just out, the Ressence Type 5G Watch($35K), that provides all the quality of the original coupled with some neat extras for better usability.

Sporting a 3 dimensional display with indicators engraved, and rotating discs suspended in fluids instead of the conventional hands, the 5G has a grade-five titanium case, is 46mm across by 15.5mm thick. The oil-filled case keeps the dial firmly against the crystal for super-sharp visibility even when diving under water, while the SuperLuminova hands can easily be read in the dark. The watch is waterproof down to 100 meters.

With an anti-magnetic shield over the movement, bellows system to clarify oil bubbles, and a crownless design, this Ressense dive watch even comes with a special hydraulic shock absorber for the more hectic dives. In case someone ever plans on getting this fancy watch wet, that is.
