Seiko and Lowercase have just released their Prospex Solar Chronograph ($480) dive watch. Limited to only 3,000 units, this fine timepiece comes in three versions: a matte silver trim on a stainless steel bracelet with locking diver clasps and push button release or with silver or gold trim on a rubber diver strap. The serial number is individually engraved on the caseback.

This sun-powered chronograph uses Seiko’s Solar Caliber V175 that can run for up to six months per charge and is guaranteed accurate within plus or minus 15 seconds per month, and is overcharge protected. It is water-resistant down to 200 meters (656 feet). Other features of this tough watch include a screwdown crown and caseback, domed crystal, and magnetic resistance.

The face features multiple chronograph counters as well as a 24 hour dial. This diver is plenty large enough to see at a glance as it is 46mm in diameter. Even if you don’t go near the water, the timekeeping functions & easy visibility makes this a distinct timekeeping option for the active male.
