The Chevy Colorado Xtreme Concept is yet another big tease for off-road lovers. We strongly believe this madness should stop right now, and Chevrolet should take the word ‘concept’ out of this fine, mud-hungry pickup truck, and put it up for production ASAP!
Built to tackle the toughtest jobs, the rugged American truck includes side plates on the sports bar & safari bar, a dramatic engine hood scoop, a snorkel sprouting from the front fender flare, roof rack with light bar, front skid plate, 18″ full-mud terrain tires, rock rails, and a bed with spare tire & mounted shovel. The Xtreme boasts a strong appearance, with rounded lines, and an attractive bright-orange color scheme highlighted by black components.
Inside, there are new auxiliary gauges, an inclinometer, an 8″ touch screen, and the latest MyLink system equipped with advanced mobile connectivity tech. Just a show piece for now (revealed at the Bangkok Motor Show a week ago), the Colorado Xtreme is said to represent “a strong hint about Chevrolet’s future design direction”, and that is promising news.
