“Born to live, Live to ride” is the motto the guys from Portugal’s Ton-Up Garage go by. And their latest bike- Recall, perfectly manifests this way of living. With classic details and a splendid old-school paint job, this motorcycle reeks of vintage style, inviting for a long ride.
Based on the sought-after BMW R75/5 from the 70’s, the Recall has taken a full nuts-and-bolts rebuild. The engine and the carbs were entirely overhauled, a new ignition was fitted together with a Li-Ion battery, the wheels are now a new pair of 18″ rims with stainless steel spokes, covered in Pirelli MT43 trials tires. Bike seat, brakes, subframe, speedometer and dial hands are also brand new. Modifications were performed on the rear shocks and front suspension, that lowered the bike 2 inches. The fenders and exhaust system are custom-made, and the rims and hubs have been powder coated black. Ton-Up kept the original, sleek head light that houses the ignition, speedo and rev counter. The paint job- a perfect combination of dark grey, red and pearl white- completes this stunning bike. The Recall was built for a client of Ton-Up Garage, that decided to restore his father’s old R75/5. Good thinking, chap! via
