The Volkswagen Amarok is among the most popular mid-sized pickup trucks in the world, offering plenty of German luxury and a nice amount of ruggedness. For the more enthusiastic off-road fan the Amarok has possibly been a little too tame, and it seems that VW knows this too. That is why the company has created this ultra limited Volkswagen Amarok Canyon Edition, a special 2014 version of which there will only be 350 models made.
The VW Amarok Canyon Edition ($57,000) has been given a beefy 2.0-litre BiTDI 180 PS engine, delivering up to 420 Nm of torque, enough to tackle the most chopped up of terrain. Volkswagen as given the Canyon some nice styling touches, while a light bar is included as an optional extra. The company has also splashed some luxury on the inside, including Sat-Nav, a 6-inch touch TV, and heated leather seats. via
