Ken Block has built his reputation as a daredevil rally cross driver and all round nutcase and his latest creation is definitely from his wildest imagination. Block took a normal Ford F-150 SVT Raptor and turned it into a beastly snow going leviathan that is being billed as the fastest snowcat in the world. We remember one episode of the British car show Top Gear where the guys used a tripped out Toyota Hilux to get to the North Pole. It was an arduous journey in a stunning Toyota that had extensive but not obvious customizations.
We imagine Block´s Ford F-150 RaptorTrax would make the same trek to the pole look like a morning stroll through the park on a warm spring morning. Mattracks have been put in place of the four wheels to make this a true go-anywhere vehicle, while a Whipple supercharger gives it the grunt it needs. The truck also gets a full roll cage, Recaro seats, an in-bed snowboard rack, a roof basket and a rear-mounted winch in case it gets stuck (it won´t).
