Smart locks are making their presence felt this year; last week we told you about the KEVO smart lock and now we are bringing you the August Smart Lock. This is perhaps the most intuitive smart lock we have seen yet, and we have to say it is easily the best designed we have seen. The August Smart Lock has been created by Yves Behar and not only looks the part, but is hugely functional thanks to its easy to use yet secure system.
The August Smart Lock ($200) is an anodized aluminum circle that can be placed of the interior of a traditional deadbolt. It uses LEDs and sounds to indicate if it is open or closed, while the smart part comes from the sync up with an app via a Bluetooth connection.
