Jeep loves to create concept vehicles from combining their various popular models into all-new configurations.  This year they hit the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada with a mash-up they call the Jeep CJ66 ($NA).

The body started out as a 1966 “Tuxedo Park” long-wheelbase CJ that has been modified to mount on a series 1997-2006 TJ Wrangler frame.  A few more modern Wrangler bits, like the hood, lights, and bumper, finish off this stylish 4×4 open top off-roader.

Jeep used Mopar’s Engine Swap Kit to fit in a 5.7 liter Hemi V8 capable of producing 383 horsepower. Add the six speed manual transmission and Dana 44 axles to the mix and you will have no doubts of this vehicles’ ability to run the trails.  With a Warn winch and onboard tire inflating system, this Jeep CJ66 has no intention of ever being trapped by difficult driving conditions.
