Most truck fans will agree with us when we say that Nissan must take the word “Concept” off this pickup and get production going immediately. Yes, the Nissan TITAN Warrior Concept ($TBA) looks so good, it’s impossible to ignore the sudden crave to get behind its wheel and embark on an off-road adventure.
Based on the freshly released TITAN XD, the concept takes the existing design “to new extremes” with more aggressive, yet fluid lines. The truck stands now at a whopping 6.7 ft (2 meters) tall, has a width of 7.21 ft, and wears massive 37″ off-road tires. Another major change from the base model is a full suspension overhaul, which includes custom upper & lower control arms with performance ball joints, racing-style coilover shocks, custom sway bar, rear lift blocks, and hydraulic pressurized bump stops.
The Warrior’s heart is a 310-hp/555-lb ft 5.0-liter V8 turbodiesel, coupled to a standard heavy-duty 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission. Nissan believes the drivers will love the truck so much, they’ll want to use it as a daily ride, so the interior is fashioned accordingly. This means a custom steering wheel milled from an aluminum block, hot-and-cold drink holders in the center console, toggle switches for the off-road equipment, plus carbon fiber, chrome & leather details that provide an upscale feel. The TITAN Concept sports roof-integrated LED lighting & a bumper-integrated quad-tip exhaust, and is finished in custom “Thunder” matte-gunmetal paint, with Magma Orange and black highlights. to keep the exterior fresh, Nissan car covers are likewise available for purchase.
