If you’re looking to minimize your lifestyle and enjoy traveling adventures, the Short Bus Retro by Winkleman Architecture should provide some inspiration. This comfy and versatile green cottage on wheels offers a mobile living space with a groovy look.
What started out as a trashed 1959 Chevrolet Viking short bus has been turned into this hippy&chic vehicle equipped with plumbing (toilet and sink), 120v&12v power, and plenty of style. Designed with space for 12 passengers (plus driver), the bus converts into guest quarters for two with two single beds or joined in the center as a queen. The exterior is clearly old-school gorgeousness, but inside is where the party’s at, with that charming 60s vibe. Durable salvaged heart pine was used for the floor, while the millwork is done in beautiful white oak for its calming aesthetic. To wrap up the funky sixties ambiance, the place is decorated with multi-colored beads, tassel lamps and Moroccan-style prints. Imagine the fun you could have! Unfortunately, the Short Bus Retro already has an owner. But hey, you could renovate your own retired bus!
